A local church is hoping to help save lives this summer through a blood drive.

Members of the First Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville donated blood after their service on Sunday.

Virginia Blood Services was there to assist and is always looking for donations, especially in the summer, when people are on vacation and forget to swing by to donate.
