Albemarle County Police are scouring local car dealerships and body shops to help find the second car involved in a fatal hit-and-run along Route 250 in Crozet last week.
Police are getting local businesses on board to see if they have any information relating to a dark-colored Saab that may have damage or need repairs.
A general sales manager at Brown Automotive says there aren't many Saabs out there, and the parts are hard to get, so they're glad to be working with police on this.
"Obviously, helping to identify if someone who comes in asking for the parts that were involved or if the car comes through, we're being mindful of that and keeping our eyes open. But if they come in and have any further questions on the parts and helping to identify them, we're going to be there for the police to help out," said Ned Gallaway, general sales manager for Brown Automotive in Charlottesville.
Police want to hear from people in Albemarle County who own Saabs and anyone else with information. To provide information to police, call 434-977-9041.
