Family and friends of Lucille Chapman celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday.
She's often called Aunt Lucille and has had a hand in raising almost everyone invited to her party.
Lucille was all smiles as she listened to the many memories and fun times her family shared.
"I expected her to make 100 years old. She's a blessed person. She helped so many of us in the family. She didn't have any children of her own but she helped the rest of the family raise their children. She was like a mother to all of us," said Jean Dickerson Payne, Lucille's niece.
President Obama and Governor McAuliffe both sent letters congratulating Lucille on 100 years.
