Local Groups Help People Sign Up For Health Care

The clock has been ticking down to the long awaited deadline for health care, and some locals have been working hard to get people to the right place to get help.

Virginia Organizing volunteer Dell Erwin said that making sure people get the right information has been an effort on the part of a lot of local organizations.

But there is concern all around, from consumers, insurers, and experts: will people does everyone realize what they need to do to be covered?

Erwin says local volunteers have been working hard to spread the word so that people get the right information.

"It’s very important that everyone realize they have to pay your premium before you are actually enrolled. Some companies have extended the date for paying the premium until January 10th, but you have to check with your insurance company. "

So, if you did procrastinate, and you could use a little help signing up, you can get more information and find out where to get help at www.cvilleenrolls.org or call (434)972-1702 or 1-800-318-2596.
