Louisa Co. Man Charged with Sexually Assaulting 10 Year-Old Girl

A 36 year-old Montpelier man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 10 year-old girl.

The Louisa Sheriff’s Office arrested Joe Leake after investigating a report made by A 10-year-old girl and her mother.

The report indicates that Leake, a friend of the family, offered to take the girl shopping. Instead, he took the girl to his home, where the alleged crimes occurred.

Investigators have charged Leake with abduction, object sexual penetration, aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties by custodian, and forcible sodomy.

Leake is being held without bond at Central Virginia Regional Jail and is scheduled for a bond hearing March 14 at the Louisa General District Court.
