The Louisa County Sheriff's Office released this statement early Friday morning:
"Louisa County Sheriff's Office has learned that there was a rumor about a threat being made to Louisa County Public Schools on Friday Dec 21, 2012. The Louisa County Public Schools and the Sheriff's Office working closely together today, investigated the rumor and were able to discover the original source of the rumor. It was determined that the Louisa County Public Schools was confused with another school system. The Louisa County Sheriff's Office, in order to ease the concerns of parents and students and provide additional security, will have officers at every school tomorrow, Friday, Dec 21, 2012, for the entire half day of school. The Louisa County Sheriff's Office and Louisa County Public Schools work closely in every way to ensure the safety of the children of Louisa."
