A 30-year-old Louisa County man has been arrested for aggravated malicious wounding of his mother's boyfriend.
On August 18, Louisa County deputies and state troopers were called to a residence on West Green Springs Road for reports of a man whose throat had been cut. The 49-year-old victim, whose identity is not being released at this time, had sustained a severe laceration to his throat as a result of an argument that escalated into a fight.
The victim was airlifted to the University of Virginia Medical Center where he was treated and later released.
Gordonsville resident Elijah Burnley, the son of the victim's girlfriend, was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated malicious wounding.
Burnley is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail pending a court appearance on August 26.
