A patriotic fire truck is making its way across the country, asking people to buy products that are made in America. And the truck stopped in Charlottesville on Friday.
Representatives say the way stores display their goods is flawed because it pushes people to purchase items made overseas.
"It's simply impossible to find those products when you are in a hurry and there is literally thousands of products to sort through and the labelling is somewhat hard to read," said Aaron Lorell, the organizer of Made in America. "If they were to put these products all together in a 'Patriots Zone' then folks that wanted to buy American-made products would know right away they can just go to the store and hit that section first."
Group members say they understand that it is almost impossible to buy everything American-made, but they ask people to shop at local stores when possible.
