(AP) - An event in Charlottesville featuring former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has been canceled due to Hurricane Sandy.
Albright had been scheduled to attend a Miller Center Forum at the University of Virginia on Monday evening to discuss her latest book the Nazi invasion of her native Czechoslovakia, World War II and its immediate aftermath.
Albright was also scheduled to visit Obama campaign volunteers at their office on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall. That event has also been cancelled.
Albright was the top U.S. diplomat during President Bill Clinton's second term.
