Martha Jefferson Hospital is calling all cancer survivors. The hospital is inviting survivors, their families and caregivers to come out to the Celebration of Life.
The Celebration of Life is a party held each year to give survivors a chance to reunite with their healthcare providers and other patients.
This year, there will be singing, dancing, a cake walk and food.
Survivors will also get to wear a special button that shows off the number of months or years that they've been cancer-free.
"I think it's really important for patients to be reminded you can put this experience of treatment and surgery behind you and return to the joys of life," said Suzanne Hilton Smith, Chaplain, Martha Jefferson Hospital.
The event is open to call cancer survivors in the community. It's on Sunday, March 23, at the Martha Jefferson Outpatient Care Center from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Please call 434-654-7009 for more information and to reserve a spot.
