RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Democrat Terry McAuliffe is officially kicking off his campaign to be Virginia's next governor.
McAuliffe is set to hold several events over the next few days to roll out a series of policy speeches.
His first event is scheduled for Sunday at the Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center in Norfolk, where he'll discuss transportation.
McAuliffe will be joined in Richmond at Virginia Biotechnology Research Park on Monday by Sen. Tim Kaine to talk about strengthening community colleges.
He'll then travel later Monday to events at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville and Friendship Industries in Harrisonburg.
Additional events are set to be announced at a later date.
