The snow started falling in western Albemarle County early Tuesday morning.

Parts of Crozet and Afton saw a dusting on the side of the roads during the morning commute.

Visibility was low on Interstate 64 as drivers went over the mountain. Snow made much of the road slick, especially on the ramps and rest areas for the interstate.

Snow plows and tow trucks could be seen at various staging areas along overlooks, waiting for any issues that could come up.
