Two local biker clubs have come together to help the victims of the Oklahoma tornado, and you can help.
The Minutemen Motorcycle Club and the Brothers in Christ Motorcycle Ministry are collecting supplies to take to Oklahoma.
They are collecting items such as soap, canned goods, coloring books for kids. They also are accepting cash donations.
Their goal is to fill a 48 foot tractor trailer. they are about a third of the way there.
"It feels great coming in. We filled a trailer up last week at Sam's Club and it's just awesome the way people are helping out," said Bill Beahn, the Minutemen Motorcycle Club Treasurer.
If you would like to help, you can drop off items at the Walmart in Ruckersville on Saturday, June 15, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Here is a full list of items the groups would like to collect:
- hand sanitizer
- canned goods
- Gatorade / Powerade
- individually wrapped snacks
- non-perishable food items
- baby food
- baby wipes
- baby motrin
- insect spray
- flash lights
- first aid supplies (band aids, ointment)
- ladies' personal items
- toiletries: soap, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo
- dog and cat food
- paper towels
- school supplies
- work gloves
- gallon-size storage bags
- trash bags
- hand towels
