The Joesph Michael Harris murder trial started in Albemarle Circuit Court on Monday.
Harris is accused of killing Anthony Johnson in February of 2005. Johnson was found shot to death on the ground near the car he was driving. The incident happened near Darden Towe Park in Albemarle County.
Attorneys for the Commonwealth brought forth crime scene witnesses to testify Monday afternoon.
One of those witnesses recalled the crime scene to the jury. She said she notice the car had frost on it but one of the car windows was down. She said that is when she noticed the body and called police.
Monday attorneys for the Commonwealth also presented some of the pieces of evidence taken from the crime scene back in 2005.
