MCDONNELL CORRUPTION TRIAL:
Former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell spent Monday on the witness stand answering questions about his finances as prosecutors began their cross-examination. He said both his wife and sister were exaggerating about their money problems.
BODY CAMERAS FOR POLICE:
A petition online called the "Michael Brown Law" is demanding all police officers wear body cameras. But police in Orange County are already equipped with body cameras. The Orange County Police Chief says the cameras help understand interactions with citizens and law enforcement.
MONEY MISUSE ALLEGATIONS:
Charlottesville Police are investigating the possible misuse of money at the Charlottesville Registrar’s Office. There are allegations the office was paying for a phone bill of a former electoral board member over the past three years.
SHOOTING AT FORT LEE:
A female soldier died Monday after locking herself in an officer and shooting herself at Fort Lee near Petersburg. 1,100 people were in the building at the time of the incident. The fort was on temporary lock-down, but no other injuries were reported.
NEW BEER AT THREE NOTCH’D BREWERY:
10 farmers met with the Brew Master at Three Notch'd Brewery to discuss the types of hops they grow. They also mixed 200 pounds of hops together to create a new beer called 10 Farmers Pale Ale.
