IX BUILDING MURDER:
New information released on the IX building murder of Antonio Washington back in May. Police say Antwan Roberts got into a fight with Washington, and that is when Taneak Turner ran up and stabbed Washington to death. Both men are being held without bond.
SECOND PERSON IDENTIFIED IN I-64 ACCIDENT:
State Police have identified the second person killed in a fatal car accident on I-64 Wednesday. 59-year-old Paul Brant of Florida died from his injuries at the U.Va. Medical Center, after he was ejected from his Chevrolet Suburban.
RAGGED MOUNTAIN DAM NEAR COMPLETION:
The New Ragged Mountain Dam is nearly finished, securing the areas water supply for the next 50 years. The reservoir will hold 1.5 billion gallons of water, and will be accessible to visitors who can go hiking, kayaking and canoeing.
MCDONNELL TRAIL WEEK TWO:
It is week two of the McDonnell corruption trial. Family friend Sarah Scarbrough, who served as mansion director for the former governor, testified the McDonnell's appeared to be very much in love--undercutting the defenses’ argument that the couple was in a crumbling marriage.
KIDS LEARN ABOUT HISTORY FROM ORIGINAL FOODIE:
Dozens of kids picked produce from Thomas Jefferson's time at Monticello Wednesday morning. They then used the produce to make recipes the Jefferson family would have used back in the day. The goal is to keep kids interested in history and eating healthy.
