STABBING ON UVA CORNER:
Charlottesville Police are investigating a late afternoon stabbing on the U.Va. Corner Tuesday. It happened on the intersection of 14-th Street and University Avenue. One person was taken to the U.Va. Medical Center, the severity of his injuries is still unknown.

SCHOOL THREAT IN CHARLOTTESVILLE:
Charlottesville Police are investigating a threat made against Clark Elementary School and its students. The school superintendent says the threat was found in a hand-written note left at Clark Elementary Tuesday. School will open as scheduled on Wednesday, but with extra security.

MARIJUANA BUST IN ORANCE COUNTY:
42-year-old Paul Scott Stoner is charged with manufacturing marijuana, and is also facing firearms charges. Investigators say they seized more than a pound of pot worth close to $10,000, along with multiple guns at his home on Berry Run Road.

MAKING THE DOWNTOWN MALL MORE COMPETITIVE:
Business owners are asking City Council for help finding a way to make the Charlottesville Downtown Mall more competitive. They want to create a business improvement district, with a fee that would be used to market businesses downtown.

100-YEAR-OLD VETERAN FINALLY RECOGNIZED:
Senator Tim Kaine awarded Mildred Pretzer the Army Good Conduct Medal among 4 other awards for her service between 1943 and 1946. Pretzer says today was one the highlights of her life, but she is most proud of being a mother and a wife of 64 years.
