MCDONNELL CORRUPTION TRIAL:
Prosecutors wrapped up their cross-examination of former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell Tuesday. McDonnell testified on two rental properties he owned with his sister that were losing money saying he didn't consider them a financial burden.
ROUTE 29 RESOLUTION:
The Albemarle County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution Tuesday asking V-DOT to make the design and construction process transparent. They also want V-DOT to consider adding more pedestrian and bicycle access along the Route 29 corridor.
UVA FOOTBALL TICKET SALE DROPPING:
The big season opener for U.Va Football is just days away but season ticket numbers are lower than expected. With the team coming off its second straight losing season and fifth in the last six years, U.Va. has only been able to fill Scott Stadium to about 60% capacity.
FINDING JOBS FOR VETERANS:
Veterans at the Workforce Center in Charlottesville are trying to show employers why they should consider hiring vets. They meet with employers in order to debunk concerns that vets may be suffering from an injury or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
SENTAOR KAINE TOURS LOUISA COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL:
Senator Tim Kaine along with Louisa County School Board members and county supervisors toured the new Louisa County High School construction site Tuesday. Senator Kaine says he's impressed with the school's Career and Technical Educational classrooms.
