On Tuesday, 57-year-old Kenneth Spratt pleaded guilty to 8 felony charges involving child pornography and other sexual offenses against three young girls who live in Nelson County.
The Nelson Co. Sheriff’s Office started investigating Spratt after parents reported that their children were sexually molested by him.
Investigators say they found numerous videos showing Spratt committing sexual acts with all three girls, all of whom are less than 13 years old.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Anthony Martin outlined the evidence in court following Spratt’s guilty pleas to 6 counts of object sexual penetration, each of which is a felony and carries up to life in prison, and 2 counts of production of child pornography, second or subsequent offense, each of which carries up to 40 years in prison with 15 years that are mandatory sentences meaning they must be served and not suspended.
Judge J. Michael Gamble then accepted a plea agreement whereby Spratt will have to serve 30 years in prison for 2 counts of production of child pornography.
Spratt then received 5 years in prison on each of the 6 charges of object sexual penetration all of which were suspended.
All of the remaining charges against Spratt were dismissed based on his guilty pleas.
