Nelson Co. Supervisors Vote on Pipeline Project

July 9, 2014

The Nelson County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a resolution to halt a Dominion pipeline survey.

According to our media partners at Blue Ridge Life Magazine, community leaders want Dominion to cease all land surveys in the county until a company representative answers some questions.

They want to know things like where the proposed route is and more details on the pipeline project.

Several Nelson Co. residents have received notices in that past few weeks.

Dominion announced last month that it's interested in building a natural gas pipeline from West Virginia to North Carolina, which would cut through many private properties in Nelson Co.
