Two Lovingston residents are under arrest following a a large drug bust in Nelson County.
The sheriff's office raided a residence in the 200 block of Barn Hill Lane in the Davis Creek area of the county early Wednesday morning. They seized $200,000 worth of meth (approximately 0.5 pounds), $16,000 in cash, 18 firearms and two trucks.
Deputies arrested 34-year-old Thomas Massie Huffman and 41-year-old Michelle Simpson Spencer. Both live at the residence in the 200 block of Barn Hill Lane.
Huffman is charged with two counts of distribution of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute and having a firearm while in possession of meth.
Spencer is charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute and having a firearm while in possession of meth.
Both are being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. Authorities say the arrests are the result of an investigation that has been ongoing for several months.
