New owners to revive Waynesboro manufacturing site
WAYNESBORO, Va. (AP) - A former manufacturing site in Waynesboro is being revived by new owners.
VM Acquisition Waynesboro plans to use a portion of the former Virginia Metalcrafters building for metal craft work.
VM Acquisition Waynesboro is a group of three businessmen from Harrisonburg - John Hall, Christopher Mast and Paul Cline.
Mast tells The News Leader (http://bit.ly/158AGuB ) that the group is still working on plans for the building. But some space already has been leased by two specialty woodworkers.
The group also has a company in Harrisonburg that produces electric candle lighting systems for historic buildings. They plan to shift some of the work to Waynesboro.
Virginia Metalcrafters closed in 2006.
