New Plan Proposed to Help Small Businesses

February 26, 2013

An easier application process and less paperwork is aiming to help small businesses gain access to loan programs.

There is a proposal before the Small Business Administration (SBA) to help entrepreneurs and small business owners get the financial resources to create jobs.

"The SBA is an advocate for small business, and they recognize that the paper work and process can be time consuming," said Nora Gillespie with the Small Business Development Center. "This helps both the borrower and the lender involved, and the SBA recognizes the need to small businesses to be able to access more capitol."

While the plan is still just a proposal, the SBA is confident it will be passed because of its emphasis on job creation.
