A man accused of capital murder in Madison County was in court today.
A motions hearing was held in the Rashad Riddick case. Both sides revealed that they have come to an agreement. Riddick will have a bench trial instead of a jury trial.
In exchange, no death penalty option.
Riddick was accused of killing three of his family members - his uncle James Jackson, Jackson’s wife Karen and her daughter Chante Davis. They were found dead on a Madison county farm.
Riddick pleaded not guilty to all 11 charges - including six counts of capital murder.
Those charges could have meant the death penalty for Riddick if he was found guilty.
