Northrop Grumman is cutting jobs in Charlottesville, but we don't know yet just how many.
The defense contractor announced plans on Thursday to eliminate 60 jobs nationwide.
They say many of those cuts will happen at facilities in Maryland and in Charlottesville.
Employees were notified Wednesday if they are being let go.
They will continue to work until the end of February. Employees will get severance and other benefits.
A spokesperson for Northrop Grumman released the following statement:
""Impacted individuals will receive all separation and other benefits for which they are entitled and the company will also provide outplacement assistance to help those who will be seeking other employment including at other Northrop Grumman facilities."
