May 2, 2013

The Albemarle County Northside Library is moving to a new location.

On Wednesday, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors approved nearly $12 million to buy a building off of west Rio Road for a new location of the Northside Library.

Currently the library is in the Albemarle Square Shopping Center, and has been there for more than twenty years.

The move to the new location is expected to occur by next fall.
