Students at Greer Elementary School are getting ready for the upcoming Olympic Games, by meeting a two-time Olympic athlete.
Track and field athlete Alice Schmidt led students in a program called "Go Noodle."
The program educates students and teachers that short bursts of exercise throughout the day can help kids stay focused on school work.
Schmidt leads an activity called "Run with Us," where students get to take part in real track and field events.
"I think it's cool because the kids, first off, this is probably not their only source of exercise, but every little bit you can get over the course of the day is really important,” says Schmidt. “So it seems like they were having a lot of fun, and getting a little bit of exercise in there too so it's a win win."
The "Go Noodle" Program is used In elementary schools across the Country.
