Charlottesville Police are investigating their second homicide of the year, and they're asking for the public's help in finding a suspect.

Police responded to the 800 block of Hardy Drive around 12:40 a.m. Saturday, responding to a call of shots fired. Officers found one man dead at the scene, identified as 36-year-old Charlottesville resident Oscar Nathaniel Brown Jr. Police say he died of a gunshot wound.

Police are now looking for 39-year-old Avery Fernando Gray Jr. in connection with this homicide. Investigators say he is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.

This homicide comes just one week after the city's first of the year at the Ix building in Charlottesville. There's been no arrest in that case.
