One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Route 29.
Police say the crash happened around 7:30am near the entrance to Forest Lakes South subdivision at the intersection of Rt. 29 and Ashwood Boulevard. Witnesses say one vehicle rear-ended another in the southbound lane.
One driver was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
Motorists trying to get into Charlottesville from the north on Route 29 experienced significant delays in their morning commute as a result of the crash.
