Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) has named Dr. Adam M. Hastings as the new dean of the Business, Mathematics and Technologies Division.
Hastings is currently the director of Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center (CATEC), and has also served as an assistant principal for Charlottesville High School.
“We are extremely pleased that Dr. Hastings will join PVCC,” said PVCC President Frank Friedman. “He brings significant teaching and administrative experience to the College and will be a tremendous asset to our faculty, staff and students.”
Hastings received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and Master of Arts degree in teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was awarded a doctorate in education administration and supervision from the University of Virginia.
PVCC’s Division of Business, Mathematics and Technologies offers associate degrees and career studies certificates in high-demand fields such as accounting, business management, engineering, computers, electronics and criminal justice.
Hastings will take on the new role on August 1st.
