The Paramount Theater in downtown Charlottesville is kicking off its fall and winter season next week.
The theater will again be hosting film festival events, classical music performances, live opera broadcasts, and stand-up comedy.
"We run the gamut from speakers to musicians to theater to family programming, movies, you name it," says Marketing Director Katherine Davis.
Scheduled events at the Paramount include live broadcasts from London's National Theatre and New York City’s Metropolitan Opera; performances by Amos Lee, Neko Case, Gordon Lightfoot, and Arlo Guthrie; movie screenings of E.T., Babe, Ice Age, and All Dogs Go to Heaven.
“We are so excited to be bringing so many incredibly talented artists to the Charlottesville community,” says Chris Eure, Executive Director of The Paramount. “We hope to see you at the theater often, and always welcome the suggestions and ideas of our community as to what artists or events you would like to see at The Paramount.”
