The Paramount Theater takes first place in both total number of gifts and total money raised in the Give4Good Challenge.

Over 140 local non-profit organizations participated in Tuesday’s Give4Good online donation campaign. The event was hosted by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation (CACF) and the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE).

Chris Eure, Executive Director of The Paramount stated, "We are so excited to have won in both categories, and thank everyone for their generous support!”

In total The Paramount received 159 gifts, raising $33,901 for the theater. As the grand prize winner, The Paramount will be awarded an additional $2,500, bringing the grand total to $36,401. All funds given through this effort for the theater's roof repair will be matched on a 1 to 1 basis.

Give4Good was a 24 hour online day of giving. Area non-profits competed against each other for gifts from members of the Charlottesville and Albemarle community. This was part of a national day of giving and the local event was spearheaded by the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
