The southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near Radford are back open after shutting down for hours early Wednesday following the death of a pedestrian.
Virginia State Police say a vehicle hit a man around 6:40 this morning near mile marker 108 and the Virginia 787 overpass.
The victim's name has not been released yet.
Police say the accident remains under investigation.
