Play On! held its grant reopening production at Albemarle Ciderworks Thursday night.
It was opening night of "Two Ladies: A Musical Review" which is a show featuring duets for women.
After leaving the IX Complex about a year ago due to raised rent, the community theatre group found a new home in Belmont, but all of its major performances will take place out in the community.
Members say the "on-the-road" approach is a new way of doing theater for them.
"We were in a theater with a very traditional proscenium stage, so this is causing us to be really creative about our staging and simplifying our sets and really getting down to the barebones of the performance," said Play On! producing director Devynn Thomas.
The group will perform "Two Ladies" again this Friday and Saturday at Albemarle Ciderworks.
