Play On! Theater Seeks to Raise Money before Eviction

April 28, 2013

Time is ticking for Charlottesville's Play On! Theater.

The not-for-profit community theater has just learned from its landlord that it needs to leave its home in the Ix Building by May 31. Play On! officials said in an email this weekend the notice makes their situation even more dire.

The theater is looking to raise $20,000 by the end of May to help relocate. So far, officials say they've raised $14,000 but still need help to achieve their goal.

Anyone who would like to help the theater can donate through its website.
