Police: 1 Person Stabbed on 14th St. NW

Charlottesville Police say one person has been stabbed near 14th Street NW and University Avenue, around The Corner area of the University of Virginia.

Investigators say that they had a report of a stabbing shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, and that one person has been transported someone to the hospital.

It is unknown at this time if the victim has life-threatening injuries.

CBS19 spoke with people off-camera who say that the victim was stabbed at least twice, and that looked like serious wounds.

Police have a suspect in custody.
