RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Police have apprehended a man suspected of assaulting a Virginia state trooper in Richmond.
State Police Sgt. Thomas Molnar says the trooper was attacked Tuesday afternoon when he tried to intervene in an argument between two people. The trooper was taken to a hospital with serious cuts and a possible concussion.
Molnar says the suspect was taken into custody without incident nearly two hours later. There was no immediate word on charges.
