Police Charge Man in Connection to Stabbing

A Charlottesville man is arrested on assault charges after a stabbing on The Corner on Tuesday.

Witnesses say the victim was stabbed at least twice, and the wounds appeared to be serious.

Police say 58-year-old Robert Sherwood Shrieves was arrested next to the railroad tracks near the University of Virginia Medical Center. He is charged with felonious assault.

The victim is being treated for stab wounds.
