April 28, 2014

Charlottesville Police responded to the 1700 block of Chesapeake Street on Sunday, April 27, for a report of shots fired.

When they arrived, officers found several vehicles that had been involved in accidents as well as shell casings and bullet fragments, some of which hit at least one of the vehicles.

Officials say all occupants of the vehicles had fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, and that there is no indication that anyone was struck by a bullet.
