Police Issue Speeding Tickets on Rt. 250 Bypass

Aug. 14, 2014

Charlottesville Police were out on the Route 250 Bypass on Thursday, making sure drivers were following the speed limit.

Police set up a radar trap near the fire station on the bypass, where the speed limit is 45mph.

Officials say police wrote 96 tickets in less than five hours. The majority of those tickets were for speeding, but some were for bad inspections and no license plates.
