Albemarle County Supervisor Christopher Dumler has informed police that he's been getting death threats.

Dumler is facing increased pressure to step down from his position on the Board of Supervisors after he pleaded guilty to sexual battery last month.

Albemarle County police say Dumler told them over the phone that he was getting death threats.

He is expected to tell police more about the threats later on Tuesday or sometime on Wednesday as they start their investigation.
