After being postponed once before, the Proffit Road bridge clean up is scheduled for next week.
The road around the bridge will be closed March 19 and 20.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (V-DOT) is bringing in a crane to clean up debris around the bridge that is getting in the way of the water's flow.
In the past, trees and debris have caused water to run over the bridge during heavy rain storms.
