Program Seeking Homes for 80 Foreign Exchange Students

Aug. 8, 2014

With just days before school starts, dozens of international students are still in search of host families.

Families are needed in Orange, Lousia, Madison and Culpepper Counties.

The organization, Face the World, works to get exchange students enrolled in local high schools, then the students stay with their host families typically for six to ten months.

Each family receives a $50 tax deduction per month to help with the costs.

"Our students get a chance to interact with different cultures, and we get to share our culture with them,” says Face the World Regional Director Suzanne Coffey. “The whole essence is we want to create between our countries."
