A University of Virginia 4th-year is being named a top cadet in the Army's Leadership Development and Assessment Course.
Twenty-one-year-old Adria Penatzer of Pittsburgh spent her summer at Fort Knox and Fort Bragg jumping out of airplanes and learning about military intelligence.
“I certainly did not have a goal to earn top cadet in the regiment,” she said. “I just wanted to perform as well as I could for the ROTC cadre at UVa., who had worked so hard to prepare our class for LDAC, and I was fortunate enough to have a positive result.”
Penatzer will be the Cadet Commander of ROTC program at UVa. next year, and plans a career in military intelligence.
