Random Row Books Protest Black Friday Buying

November 23, 2012

Random Row Books opened its Really Really Really Free Market as a protest to Black Friday spending.

A crowd gathered at the book store to buy nothing, instead they browsed the shelves for free goodies.

Melissa Wender organized the event and says it's more fun to share than to buy.

"You don't need to go to the stores today. Yesterday we thought about what we're thankful for and how much we have and we don't need to go get more stuff today."

Books, clothes, toys, even a kitchen sink and a couch were all up for grabs. People could bring items to trade or just give away. This is the tenth year for the Really Really Really Free Market.
