Report: Foreclosure Rates in Charlottesville Decrease

Figures from CoreLogic show foreclosure rates in October 2013 at 0.56 percent.

A new housing report from CoreLogic indicates foreclosure rates in the Charlottesville area are falling.

Figures from the company show foreclosure rates in October at 0.56 percent, an improvement over Oct. 2014’s rate of 0.87 percent. The statewide rate for the October was 0.77 percent, while the national average was 2.15 percent.

The report also says the local mortgage delinquency rate is 2.27 percent – down from last year's 2.69 percent.
