Update: Route 29 Back Open After Flooding

Route 29 South is back open after being closed for several hours due to flood waters on the road. To find out more about local road closures, follow the link here to VDOT's 511 website

According to VDOT, US-29 South just North of the Route 33 intersection in Greene County is closed due to standing water.

Both lanes South are blocked because of flooding, and the road looks to remain flooded for the time being.

South bound drivers can detour to Route 645, then to Route 33 West and then back onto 29.
