Albemarle County gets a visit from Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan who rallied a crowd of over 1,000 supporters on Thursday night.

Ryan thanked William Crutchfield, CEO of Crutchfield Corporation, for hosting the event and in no time, brought up the importance of entrepreneurship in the economy.

"What a great American success story. Here's a guy who 38 years ago took $1,000 and built a business in his mothers basement," Ryan said. "And he did built it."

Ryan urged the crowd that America cannot afford four more years of President Obama and the direction he is taking the country.

"We're not going to try to turn this country into something that it's not and we're going to reapply those founding principles to get this country back on the right track," Ryan said as the crowd started cheering.

"We are not going to duck these tough issues. We are not going to kick the can down the road. We're not going to run from these problems. We are going to lead and fix this mess," he said.

And being in a college town, Ryan called out to voters saying it's the Romney/Ryan ticket that will lead them, and the rest of the country, to the path of employment.

"We're very concerned about getting jobs when he graduate and getting one in the field that we want. I believe that Mr. Ryan and Mr. Romney will get us to those jobs that we want and get the country back on track," first year student at UVa, Mac Mcclure said.

"If he gets elected I'm hoping my son can come back from Brazil and get a job here in America, finally," said Marsha Miller, a Charlottesville resident who says her son has degrees from Harvard, New York University and Northeastern University.

Ryan ended on a very simple note, asking Central Virginia for their vote.

"The choice is yours. So lets wake up on November the 7th and know we gave it everything. We are asking you for your vote. We are asking you for your help. We're in this together."

Mitt Romney will be in Richmond on Sunday for his own rally, continuing the home-stretch tour in the final days until the election.
