Scottsville Man Charged with Assaulting a UVa Police Officer

A Scottsville man is being held in jail without bond on charges of assaulting a police officer.

According to University of Virginia Police, Kevin Sullivan, 25, struck an officer in the face Saturday after getting into a disorder at the corner of University Avenue and Elliewood Avenue.

The UVA officer was not seriously hurt.

Sullivan has a court hearing scheduled for Monday.
