Charlottesville's second Restaurant Week began on Monday.
This week, a different group of nearly 30 restaurants is offering special prices for their cuisine. There are three price ranges, starting at $16 a person.
One dollar from each meal goes to the Virginia Institute of Autism. Organizers plan to use the money for a new playground that every student will benefit from.
"One of the things that's unique about autism is that many of the kids have learning and communication and social difficulties," said Ethan Long, with the institute. "Being able to be out on a special needs friendly playground where we can extend some of the teaching outside will be really nice for them."
